The HS45 EU-SMART Encoders are incremental rotary quadrature encoders designed for heavy-duty industrial use. These magnetic encoders are suitable for a variety of mounting applications, including NEMA motors (GE, Marathon, US Motors) and European-style motors such as ABB and Siemens.

They are available in both clamp-style and center-bolt mounting options, with clamp-style fitting shafts from 5/8″ to 1 1/8″ [16mm-30mm], and center-bolt options available for 16mm (straight) and 17mm (cone/taper shaft). The clamp-style mounting includes a field-changeable sizing sleeve and offers shaft current isolation, while the center-bolt mounting utilizes insulated ceramic ball bearings to prevent shaft current damage.

Built for rough environments, the HS45 excels in conditions with constant exposure to temperature extremes, water, oil, and dirt. It comes with high-power output circuits compatible with universal 5-24V power and is fully protected against surges and wiring errors, ensuring continued reliable operation.

Onboard diagnostics also provide early warnings of any signal quality issues, helping to prevent unexpected downtime. For additional flexibility, the HS45 is also available in the AV45 solid shaft encoder model, fitting European B-flanges and foot mount applications, as well as severe-duty AV685 encoders. The HS45 ensures continuous, high-performance operation even in the toughest conditions.
