4G IIT Series
Excellent FOM
The Image Intensifier Tube 4G (IIT) is a more affordable version than 4G+ while maintaining a high level of performance. 4G IIT provides operators high image quality and long detection ranges in the most challenging light conditions: brightness of equipment, longevity of intensifier tubes, ability to see farther in increasingly low levels of darkness, and very fast auto-gating.
It is perfectly suited to the stringent requirements of night combat operations. Indeed, the Image Intensifier Tube 4G bandwidth is twice larger than Gen III image intensifiers, collecting more photons in all operational conditions, and providing soldiers with the crucial tactical advantage of seeing 1100nm lasers target designator that no other image intensifier can detect. With the broader availability of night vision devices, the challenge is to have the best performance image intensifier based equipment that is always more efficient than the one of the opposing force.
- Excellent FOM 1800 min
- Fast Auto-Gating
- Enlarged spectral range from 350nm to 1064nm
- Available in 16mm

P43 Green Phosphor or P45 White Phosphor
The phosphor screen of the IIT converts the electron avalanche from the microchannel plate back into photons, resulting in the green image that has become the signature view in night vision technology.
White phosphor, or P45, provides excellent recognition and has similar decay time properties as the P43 (green) phosphor. In night vision, white phosphor IIT comes from the aviation and special operations world. While there are no « lab » performance differences between P43 & P45, the choice of phosphor remains an operator’s preference.
During trials of soldiers performance under green and white phosphor night vision, no combat effectiveness difference was found. That’s why phosphor color is often a personal preference, the most important criteria being for the operator to have as less eye fatigue as possible.
Image Intensifier Tube | 16MM
We offer a unique version – 16mm format intensifier tube. This new standard has enabled the design of modern, lighter and smaller night vision binoculars.
Reducing the load on a soldier is a constant challenge. We can notice a real evolution concerning the size and weight of our image intensifier tubes. We talk about SWaP: Size Weight and Power.
Reduction of SWaP contributes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of armed forces. Night vision devices that are designed around the 16mm IIT offer the tremendous advantage of having the same level of performance as those based upon the 18 mm intensifier tube, but with significantly reduced weight.
